How to reach us
By Car
From the G.R.A. beltway ring (Grande Raccordo Anulare) take the exit 19/20 (A1 Roma-Napoli) and follow the signs “La Romanina – 2a Università” – “Università di Roma Tor Vergata”.
Go through “Viale della Sorbona” until you reach the second roundabout, turn right to “Via Columbia”, then turn left to “Via del Politecnico”, following the signs to “Ingegneria”.
You fill find parking lots on the left side. The conference building is in correspondence to the last one (it is behind it) in the street “Via del Politecnico”; the name of the building is “Ingegneria dell’Informazione”. You can recognize all the Ingegneria buildings by their bright green window frames over pink walls.
Via del Politecnico is found on common navigators.
From Ciampino airport
Bus: Take the transfer bus heading Anagnina (every 40 min.). It leaves just at the airport arrivals exit and takes about 20-30 minutes. It costs 1.20€ and can be paid onboard. At Anagnina take the bus number 20 to Cambellotti (the ticket 1.50€ must be bought before boarding). Then follow the Metro & Bus indications.
In alternative, at Ciampino airport take bus number 520 (every 20 minutes) which arrives at Subaugusta Metro line A station but stops also at Cinecittà Metro line A station (which is closer to Tor Vergata). Then take metro line A to Anagnina (one stop from Cinecittà, two stops from Subaugusta) and then take bus number 20. With the same ticket (1.50€) of the bus 520 you can take the Metro and the bus 20 (100 minutes of validity).
Taxi: the fare from Ciampino to university should be 20€.
From Fiumicino airport
Train: at Fiumicino rail terminal take the fast train to Rome Termini rail station. Ticket is 14€, trains every 15 minutes (timetable can be checked on Trenitalia.com). At the Roma Termini rail station take Metro A underground line direction Anagnina. Then follow Metro & Bus indications.
Train: at Fiumicino rail terminal take the train to Orte/Fara Sabina. Ticket is 8€, trains every 15 minutes (timetable can be checked on Trenitalia.com). Get off at Roma Tuscolana. Then, walk 5-6 minutes to the Metro A station Ponte Lungo to take the underground to Anagnina. Then follow Metro & Bus indications.
Bus: At Fiumicino airport there are several bus transfers to Rome Termini (Sit Bus Shuttle, Terravision, TAM, etc.). Costs around 6€. At the Roma Termini rail station take Metro A underground line direction Anagnina. Then follow Metro & Bus indications.
Taxi: the fare Fiumicino to university should be around 50-60 €. There is a fixed fare Fiumicino Rome center (within the old walls) for 48€. The fare is not applicable to Tor Vergata, which is not in the center of Rome. Taximeter will be used.
By Metro & Bus
Take the underground Line A, direction “Anagnina” and get off at the last station, Anagnina. Go out of the underground station and you will find a bus terminal; take the bus n. 20 to CAMBELLOTTI and get off at the stop “CAMBRIDGE”. Via Cambridge is between the faculties of “Economia” and “Ingegneria”. Go towards Ingegneria (on your left side, when you arrive; you have to go down three flights of stairs).
From San Giovanni Metro A station it is also possible to take metro C line direction Pantano and get off at:
Torre Angela – take bus line 20 to Anagnina and get off at the stop “CAMBRIDGE/COLUMBIA”. The faculty of Engineering will be on the right, downstairs.
or
Alessandrino – take bus line 552 to Policlinico Tor Vergata and get off at the stop “CAMBRIDGE/COLUMBIA”. The faculty of Engineering will be on the left, downstairs.
