Research activities founded by ESA within SatNEx project in Call of Order 2, with the following tasks:
Sub-task 2.1 – “Proposals of and justifications for network architectures for interworking between satellite and sensor networks taking into account the future SCADA and M2M market”
Sub-task 2.4 – “Study of advanced control issues for WSN via satellite such as bandwidth management mechanisms, adaptive coding and modulation techniques, decision-theoretic approaches to Gaussian Sensor Networks”
Sub-task 2.5 – “Analysis of security threats arising in satellite-controlled sensor networks with current security architectures and protocols from the use of specific satellite technology”
Sub-task 2.6 – “Assessment of security solutions (new architectures, management of different levels of security, new encryption algorithms, new techniques for key management, etc.)”
